Adidas cricket launches new footwear

adidas Cricket footwear is developed in collaboration with professional cricketers and incorporates many of its clever running shoe technologies.

Says brand manager for adidas cricket at Summit Sport Scott Edminston "One of the world's most successful bowlers, English paceman Jimmy Anderson, provided key player feedback into the creation of the Adipower Vector bowling shoe.

"Plus 2016 saw the introduction of a revolutionary adiZero Boost shoe which is perfect for training or batting. "

This revolutionary new Adidas batting shoe comes with a boost midsole for huge energy return while running between the wickets or chasing a ball to the boundary.

A bevelled heel also delivers a smoother transition during running stride, while the upper is designed to bring support in the key forefoot area for quick, multi-directional movements.

Edmiston says, "Similar to the Adidas SL22, the design opens in the midfoot and the heel to give the breathability and lightness required for hours in the field or at the crease."

A revolutionary TPU outsole gives the needed traction via the ultra-sharp traction lugs without the need of the traditional spikes.

Removal of the spikes and the TPU materials leads to a significantly lighter shoe.
