adidas works to cut delivery delays

Dealing with the challenges in deliveries and the stress it causes “our partners is a key priority ” of  adidas managing director Pacific Greg Kerr.

Responding to reported delays, the talk around the industry and his determination to resolve the issue as “ as matter of urgency,” he reports that “we have seen a vast improvement in delivery times over the past few weeks.”

Says Kerr, “adidas recently shifted its operations into a new warehouse facility in Melbourne.

“The move was made to create efficiencies and economies of scale across Australia and New Zealand, and enable adidas to function within a flexible framework to evolve with the needs and demands of our customers.

“While we’ve been doing our utmost to ensure a smooth transition, unfortunately we’ve faced some challenges along the way which have impacted our customers who have experienced delays in deliveries.

“The timely delivery of our product is something we take very seriously, and it’s been our absolute priority to work alongside our 3PL partner to resolve the situation as soon as possible.

“We’ve seen a vast improvement in delivery times over the past few weeks, and are currently working hard on our internal processes to ensure the warehouse is functioning at a level that delivers to the needs of our partners.

“We know the situation has put a great deal of stress on many of our partners.

“Our key priority now is to ensure that we resolve this as a matter of urgency,” says Greg Kerr.
