Clever new tech for young Aussie swimmers
Aussies are known to be early adopters of new technology and now our young swim stars are getting the chance to try out the clever stuff.
Swimming Australia gathered its 22 rising teenage swimmers to a camp this month, where they tried out technologies such as 3D motion capture and underwater cameras, to enable coaches to be able to study strokes and styles in the water.
The 3D motion capture is reported to be similar to the technology used by Diving Australia before the 2016 Olympics to improve performance.
