Cricket lights up deal for men's team

Alinta Energy has signed up as major sponsor for the national men's team, in a win for Cricket Australia.

The WA-based energy supplier will be shirt sponsor for Test matches, one-day internationals and T20 games as part of a four-year deal, taking over from Qantas, reported to remain the international shirt sponsor, appearing on ODI and T20 jerseys for the upcoming Tour of England series in June.

CA and the players involved lost several valuable sponsorships after the ball-tampering scandal, including Magellan as naming rights sponsor for the Ashes series.
